The SLZB-MR1 and MR3 are SMLIGHT’s new coordinators, combining CC2674P10+EFR32MG24 or CC2652P7+EFR32MG21 chips in a single device to deliver full support for both Zigbee and Thread networks. Designed to work seamlessly with Zigbee2MQTT and ZHA, the SLZB-MR1 and MR3 offer unmatched flexibility for your smart home setup. Whether you're building a pure Zigbee network, experimenting with Matter over Thread, or want the freedom to switch between ecosystems, this multiradio coordinator brings it all together - in one powerful solution.

Where Design Came From
Zigbee and Thread - alongside other popular smart home and IoT protocols such as Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth - are widely used in modern ecosystems. Many users build their smart environments using a combination of these protocols. However, managing such a diverse setup often requires multiple dedicated devices: for example, a Zigbee coordinator for Zigbee networks and a Thread Border Router for Thread.
While some commercial solutions support both Zigbee and Thread simultaneously, they are typically locked into specific vendors or ecosystems (a lot of such hubs with Zigbee+Trhead available on the market). This vendor lock-in, despite showcasing the technical feasibility of coexisting Zigbee and Thread radios in the same hardware device, limits flexibility and user choice.
With the SLZB-MRx series, we set out to change that. Our goal was to empower smart home enthusiasts and developers with a multiradio device that enables native, vendor-agnostic access to both Zigbee and Thread protocols. “MR” stands for MultiRadio - this series allows users to freely choose their preferred ecosystem and integration path, leveraging the full capabilities of open-source smart home software and platforms.

🚀 SLZB-MRW10 - Multiprotocol Smart Home Adapter (Beta Test Samples)
CALL FOR BETA TESTERS
We are currently in the beta testing phase for SLZB-MRW10. During this stage, we are evaluating performance and functionality of the device in real-world use. Once this evaluation phase is complete, we plan to apply for full Z-Wave certification.
These early production units are made available strictly for evaluation and testing purposes only. This is non-Z-Wave certified samples.
Device is based on CC2674P10 (for Zigbee and Thread) + EFR32ZG23 (for Z-Wave prototyping) + ESP32 (for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth).
The device is distributing for beta testers only. The expected retail price (RRP) is $75.
