The Fractal Design FD-C-DEF7A-03 is a mid-tower PC case built for anyone who values generous room, quiet operation, and a clean look. Its steel construction feels solid on a desk or under it, and the tempered glass side panel, finished with a subtle dark tint, lets you display your hardware without turning the entire build into a light show.

Inside, the chassis welcomes motherboards from Mini-ITX up to E-ATX models measuring 285 mm wide. In the default open layout there is clearance for a 19.3-inch graphics card and a 7.28-inch-tall air cooler, giving gamers and workstation users plenty of headroom for flagship components. When storage is the priority, the interior converts to a dedicated storage layout that holds up to 14 hard drives alongside four solid-state drives—ideal for video editors, data archivers, or anyone running a large media library.

Three 140 mm fans arrive pre-installed to move air quietly through the case. There are six open fan positions if you need more airflow, and liquid-cooling support is extensive, including a 420 mm radiator on the top panel and a 360 mm unit at the front. Dense sound-dampening material on the front, sides, and top helps the system stay whisper-quiet, so you can focus on work or play without background noise.

Building and upkeep are straightforward. The aluminum front door swings open on a hinge and closes with a magnetic latch, the side panels lift off without tools, and integrated cable guides with reusable Velcro straps keep wiring tidy. Up front, a USB-C port, two USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, and separate audio jacks give quick access for peripherals. Whether you are assembling a high-end gaming rig, a professional editing workstation, or a quiet home server, this case provides the flexibility to organize hardware exactly the way you want.
