The ELAC DB52-BK is a pair of two-way bookshelf speakers that bring Debut 2.0 engineering into rooms where space matters. They deliver the richness of a full-size system while fitting easily on stands, shelves, or a media cabinet.

A soft-dome tweeter with a one-inch diameter sits inside a carefully shaped waveguide that widens dispersion. High frequencies extend to 35 kilohertz, so cymbals, strings, and vocal overtones stay open and lifelike even in high-resolution recordings.

Mid and low notes come from a woofer that uses woven aramid fiber and measures five and a quarter inches across. The material is rigid yet well damped, producing a bass response that is both deep and smooth without the midrange coloration sometimes heard from paper or plastic cones. A front-facing port works with a cabinet made from MDF and reinforced by internal bracing to keep unwanted resonance under control. The black ash vinyl finish blends easily with most decor.

Each speaker handles up to one hundred twenty watts and presents a six-ohm load, so most integrated amplifiers or AV receivers will drive them confidently. With a frequency response that starts at 46 hertz you can enjoy plenty of low end on its own, or pair the speakers with a subwoofer for theater-level impact.
