This is a 100-feet roof heat cable that prevents ice dam formation, a leak creator that damages the roof. This roof de-icing cable promotes the free flow of water through gutters and downspouts to ground level. The roof heat tape is designed for residential applications and is easy to install as the gutter heater cable comes pre assembled. A very economical device, it only consumes 5 watts per foot of cable while causing an ice dam roof melt to take place. Note: The use of a temperature and moisture sensing control such as Easy Heat RS2 is highly recommended.
