The Chief VCMU is a ceiling mount designed to hold large LCD or CRT projectors that weigh up to 250 lbs (113.4 kg). It uses a universal HBU bracket, so it works with most projector models without the need for model-specific hardware.

Installers can fine-tune roll, pitch, and yaw with ease, making it straightforward to align a projector to the screen even after the mount is in place. When it is time to change a lamp or clean a filter, the quick connect and disconnect mechanism lets you lower the projector, service it, and return it to its exact position without losing those adjustments.

The mount can sit flush against the ceiling or attach to Chief extension columns when extra drop is needed. Cables route through the top of the mount, helping keep sightlines clear and the installation looking orderly in classrooms, corporate boardrooms, retail spaces, or large-scale venues such as auditoriums and houses of worship.
