Anri Carved Wood Madonna signed by M K Kaslatter
Vintage mid 20th century handcarved wood statue of a Madonna and Child (Madonna of the Grapes) signed on back by artist M K Kaslatter. Original ANRI label (1954-1967 based on catalog info) is still attached at the bottom. Beautifully carved.
The Anri company was founded by Anton Riffeser in 1912 in Northern Italy, and still is in Ortesei. Last picture is from actual ANRI catalogue circa 1950s.
Condition is excellent!
7” tall x 4⅜” x 4” (the largest of 3 sizes that was made of this design).
